Notes:

  • The Demon of the Round Table, The Valley of Kings and Zero are a single sortie flown as back-to-back missions.
  • Assault Horizon Legacy has multiple routes. Tin Castle/Opera House, Rising High/Acid Rain, and St. Elmo’s Fire, Visiting Hours & Toy Box/Cavalry, El Dorado & Final Countdown are mutally exclusive.
  • The cutscene before Sitting Duck depicts Mobius One launching an F-4 from an ISAF carrier.
  • Missions 02-17 of Shattered Skies do not provide any explicit clues about Mobius One’s aircraft.
    • The game’s cover art depicts the F-22 as the “hero” plane; it is reasonable that Mobius One switches from the F-4 to the F-22 at some point.
  • In Megalith, Mobius Squadron operates the F-22, so Mobius One’s aircraft is likely an F-22.
  • Mobius One’s signature aircraft has been depicted as either the F-22 in all Ace Combat media, so it is logical that it is the canon aircraft in the Skies Unknown VR Mode.
  • In missions 01-04 of The Unsung War, the player cannot select their aircraft in campaign mode and must fly the F-5E.
  • The cover art of The Unsung War depicts the F-14 as the “hero” plane; it is reasonable that Wardog/Razgriz Squadron fly the F-14 as their main aircraft for most of the game.
  • Open War takes place immediately before Narrow Margin, which in turn takes places shortly before First Flight.
  • In Blind Spot, Chopper will ask the player if they listened to a song. If the player answers Yes, Chain Reaction and Powder Keg follow. If the player answers No, Reprisal and Four Horsemen follow.
  • In White Noise, Chopper will ask the player if they liked a song. If the player answers Yes, Desert Arrow follows. If the player answers no, Desert Lightning follows.
  • Fortress and 8492 are a single sortie flown as back-to-back missions. They are directly followed by Final Option, in which the player cannot select their aircraft and must fly the Hawk.
  • The missions ACES and The Unsung War are a single sortie flown as back-to-back missions.
  • Trigger’s aircraft during missions 05-10 of Skies Unknown is most likely the same F-16C he flew in missions 01-04, based on the following clues:
    • Trigger’s plane in Spare Squadron has the Fort Grays tail code painted over with the Three Strikes symbol. Fort Grays is depicted as operating the F-16C (Mage Squadron) and F/A-18F (Golem Squadron).
    • When Avril looks at Trigger’s plane in the cutscene after First Contact, the engine nozzle is briefly depicted. It’s not an exact match for any plane, but the artist seems to have used a Pratt & Whitney F100 as a reference. This engine is used in the F-15 and F-16. Note that the F-15 depicted earlier in the cutscene is not Trigger’s plane; from Avril’s narration, it is clear that she sees Trigger’s plane for the first time after her conversation with Tabloid.
  • Trigger’s aircraft during mission 20 of Skies Unknown is most likely an F-15C or F-22, but it could also be an F-16C, F/A-18, or F-35.
    • The cutscene before mission 20 depicts Avril preparing to work on an F-15C.
    • The game’s cover art depicts the F-22 as the “hero” plane flying past Princess Cosette as she prepares to leap from the Lighthouse.
    • Various aircraft including an F-16, several F/A-18s and an F-22 are visible in the hangar in the cutscenes before mission 20.
    • F-15Cs, F/A-18s and an F-35 are visible on the carrier’s deck during the launch at the beginning of mission 20.
  • The events of Electrosphere take place within a computer simulation, so none of the missions actually occur in the timeline.
